Bridge Run for Breast Cancer & Bay Babes
Story
I'm taking part in the Blackmores Sydney Running Festival 2011 and hoping to raise much needed funds for a local Sutherland Shire Community Charity called Bay Babes.
Bay Babes donate to organisations such as the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Joanne Mackay Foundation, Sutherland Hospital Oncology Unit, and also provide financial assistance to recently diagnosed women in our area including my sister Fiona who is currently undergoing treatment for Breast Cancer.
This September, I’m going to be sweating it out and doing my best to complete a gruelling course over the Harbour Bridge, around Sydney's CBD and finishing at the Opera House steps...
I am honoured to be a part of this amazing race and helping a great cause, and I’d really appreciate your support in this endeavour.

Bay Babes is a registered non-profit organization based in the Sutherland Shire. Our main aim is to raise awareness amongst local women about breast cancer and the importance of early detection; to provide support to people when diagnosed, and to raise money for our local oncologists to enable them to continue to improve treatment practices and outcomes for women both now, and in future generations
