Story
I'm taking part in the Blackmores Sydney Running Festival 2011 and hoping to raise much needed funds for charity.
This September, I’m going to be sweating it out and doing my best to complete a gruelling course over the Harbour Bridge, around Sydney's CBD and finishing at the Opera House steps...
I am honoured to be a part of this amazing race and helping a great cause, and I’d really appreciate your support in this endeavour.
ALL donations you give go directly to charity, so click on DONATE NOW!
Thank you for your support and helping to make a difference!

Kenya Aid
Kenya Aid is an Australian NGO, run by a group of young and passionate people dedicated to improving health-care outcomes in Western Kenya. We aim to do this through improving both the availability and quality of basic health care in the region. Kenya Aid works in partnership with indigenous Kenyan NGO’s and Kenyan Government to ensure grassroots program implementation and so that our programs are responsive to the communities that we serve. Prior to Kenya Aid’s presence in remote villages of Western Kenya people in these communities had no access whatsoever to health-care of any kind. Kenya Aid’s programs are community orientated and such we place a heavy emphasis on education and preventative strategies. We have developed a range of community based education aimed at increasing health based knowledge and implementing behaviour change in areas such as reproductive health, sanitation and hygiene and nutrition. The board members of Kenya Aid have all spent time living and working inKenyaand so have developed a passion for the Kenyan people have personally noted the injustice of unacceptable standards of living for the majority of Africans. This is clearly seen in the lack of basic human rights such as sanitation, healthcare and education. Through its health-care programs and preventative strategies Kenya Aid hopes to provide hope and empowerment to the people of Kenya.
