Uno's Cancer Run Year 2
Uno's Cancer Run Year 2
Story
Hello! It’s me again, I am having another go at raising money for the wonderful people at Cancer Council NSW.
I am really grateful to all of you who supported my fundraising efforts in last year's run, I exceeded the target I had set for myself and it’s all thanks to you. This September, I’m running again. In fact I haven’t quite stopped running since last September. I will be back at the Blackmores Sydney Running Festival, only this time not running a half marathon but a whole one - 42.195km (26.22 miles), Having just completed the Gold Coast Airport Marathon I am even more pumped to complete this one feeling a little less sore. (I reserve the right to cross the line a defeated heap of sore flesh).
I’m doing this firstly because I genuinely enjoy having a run, and I figured why not raise money for a cause close to my heart in the process. This cause is cancer. Cancer has impacted my family and me directly, it claimed the lives of my grandmother and her son (my dad), so its fare to say I am constantly looking over my shoulder.
I am honoured to be a part of this amazing cause, and I’d really appreciate your support in this endeavour. This is a cause I intend to continually run for as long as there is still a need and my legs (all other bodily joints permitting) can still carry me at a decent pace.
ALL donations you give go directly to charity, so click on DONATE NOW!
To donate and support me, please follow the prompts, and a message of support will be appreciated.
Activity
Cancer Council NSW
We believe in a cancer free future. Every year almost 48,000 people in NSW are diagnosed with cancer. So every day we offer support to families affected by cancer, speak out on behalf of our community and find new and better ways to detect and treat cancer.
